So excited about the new songs we’ve been working on - yet so anxious as well.
So much goes into following through on a dream, or completing a goal. Sometimes it seems easier to give up. Giving up lets you avoid responsibility, and the disappointment of failure.
However, there’s an incredibly rewarding feeling, when you reach a checkpoint. The road towards your happiness is lined with profound pitstops and sights to see. Getting that much closer to your goals, achieving smaller ones along the way, you realize that not taking the trip, would have left you inexperienced.
Going into the process of being a working musician, I had no idea what I’d have to do, or what I’d be getting into. Sometimes it’s rather tough - looking ahead - wondering how far I have to travel. But little pitstops here and there remind me.
It’s nice to revisit this song, as I think about the future.
